Ruler with 40mm Bases

If I use single bases with a width of 40mm, the ruler should be scaled down so that each increment is 2cm (1/2 the width of the base). Does anyone use Impetus with 40mm bases, and if so do you use the regular ruler, or the scaled down version? It seems that with the scaled down ruler, the movement rates might be too slow.

do you mean 28mm figures on 4cm (DBM/AdG style) bases? Or 15mm miniatures? In case it is mostly a visual issue, but the important thing is that you have to scalet down the gaming table, otherwise distances are too big (and the game too slow).

It is for 15mm figures. I was running a larger battle on a 100cm wide, 90cm deep table. The question is whether to use a ruler with 2 cm increments (1/2 the base width of 40mm) or the regular ruler with 4cm increments.

EDIT -- It seems like the scaled down ruler will work fine, and follows the 1/2 base convention. I will go with that.
