Question about front bases

Dear friends, I am new with the rules, I have some ready armies, the infantry is based with 12cm frontage, but the cavalry it is with only 8cm frontage. It could be a problem for play with Baroque rules? thank you in advance

well, the game is design to have all fronts the same (apart from artillery). Now, if both armies have the same criteria and if you don't play in competitions or with a competitive approach, then it can work.

of course choose one single criteria for the distances!

Both infantry and cavalry need to be on bases with the same frontage. I suggest you just make a larger base for the cavalry and slide it under the base the cavalry are already on, whilst you decide whether to rebase any figures or not

The problem with having different sized bases is that firstly you'd get a lot more units of cavalry into the front line, making them harder hitting than they should be
Also when it comes to wheeling and maneuvering, cavalry would wheel faster than they should do etc

a quick way to go is to create an extra base for cavalry, maybe with just one figure, just to pair the frontage.
