Fire and Charge
Simple question: Can a unit with missile weapons fire and then charge? I can't find anything that says they can't but 5.8.1 says, "As this is not a charge, the Unit, if armed with missile weapons, can also fire." Does that mean that you can't fire and charge, or that as the unit has not contacted an evading unit it's not in melee and therefore able to fire?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Fire and Charge
Hi on this I have always played that you can fire and charge in but of course have to take account of the factor for moving after in the firing calculation. I think the point of the quote you mention is to highlight that in a "potential charge" if the enemy LC or S evade you can always fire at the end (assuming you did not do at the start). By this logic I would play that you can fire and then do a potential charge - maybe the firing might disorder the LC or S making it harder for them to evade successfully.
Just my thoughts anyway ...
