Um ... No dice?

Just to clarify -- if all your modifiers reduce the total number of combat dice below 1, do you roll any?
Is there a minimum number to roll in: shooting? Melee?
So Disordered VBU=1 gets no nice?
Seems a little harsh for melee.

There is no specific rule I am aware of, as such we usually play a modified 0 or less as "no dice is no dice", the remnants of the unit are struggling for survival and trying desperately to support the King/Emperor/Captain by keeping their spirits up and show an example of courage under pressure to the point where they contribute VD to prevent the command or army breaking.

Somewhere the rules say that in melee you always get one dice, but in the case of missile fire, no dice is no dice.

Jim is correct. No missile dice is no dice. No dice in melee always gets you one dice.
