Rule 5.2.2 allows a non disordered unit to oblique or move sideways as the final action of their activation.

Does this result in disorder? We couldn't find anything in the rules to say that it does, just that it ends the current Unit activation.

As far as I know it just ends the activation which is quite limiting.

If it's not the first action then you need to roll for disorder as normal but there doesn't seem to be anything intrinsic to side or oblique movement that causes disorder.

I rationalise it as an abstraction of otherwise complex wheeling rules and micro-geometry issues. It seems a sensible method of allowing units to adjust their facing and position.

Please refer to 5.4.2 there is clearly stated, that this disorders all but S and CL. (2nd sentence). The QRS sheet helps a lot at keeping those things in mind.

5.4.2 concerns Opportunity Charge.

Please refer the subject location of this question, it is clearly stated as being the Baroque section of the forum.

In Baroque the relevant section is 5.2.2. The example given after the paragraph has the Unit taking a Disc test after moving obliquely for its second move.

As this is a clear difference to Impetus the question was raised to ensure this is correct.
