Flank Marches
A few questions on Flank Marches.
1. In some versions of Advanced Impetus after the Flank March enters the table opposing units able to react with a free pivot, in other versions a wheel of up to 90 degrees. In the latest version it is back to a free pivot. Which is it for clarification.
2. Is there any limitation to the facing of units entering through a FM? Our house rule is that the units entering the table come on straight and have the facing of the table edge. Is this correct?
3. There is no mention in the latest edition of AI of the extra bonuses gained for each turn of rolling for a flank march. Has this accidently been removed?

Re: Flank Marches
Previous versions are superseded
1. its a pivot as per following up a retreat etc
2. No - none at all - your FM just became visible but could have any facing.
3. No - that was taken out a while ago deliberately when FMs became too predictable

Re: Flank Marches
Interesting. Thanks Cyrus.
With respect to pivot/wheel wasn't the previous version back in February, 2015 wheel. Before that it was pivot.

Re: Flank Marches
Sorry - I don't see your point - it says pivot, not wheel, and goes on to clarify it is the same as pursuit - it could be harder to be clearer

Re: Flank Marches
Pivot is good. Just wanting to make certain as its been both in the past.

Re: Flank Marches
For now it is pivot - because that's what is in 1.7
1.1 through 1.6 now have no relevance. . .
