Impressions from Attriticon 2015 participation game

Earlier this year we ran a small participation game at Attriticon in Ulm.
At one day we were able to present 3 games.

Unfortunately I didn't bring a proper camera and my skills of postprocessing photos are very limited.

The table as it presented it self to the audience, in the foreground we offered some versions of the rules to look at. Printed or digital. As a scenario we placed a pile of gold under on building and players had to find and protect it.


Here are the Vikings. in front of them are lying the unit cards we created to remember their stats.


Viking and Normans on the final table. We use green marbles to represent reloading and yellow for shaken men, red and blue marbles are AP counter (meanwhile we replaced those shaken markers with rabbits and chickens and use arrows for reloading).



Viking Huscarls and Norman Milites clash at the hay stack, in all games players tended to fight at this site.

The Huscalrs could beat the Milites, thanks to their lethal axes, the Bondi then took over the defense of the building.


Another game, this time the Norman player didn't rush forward but slowly approached with his heavy foot and his archers while the knights took the flank.

At the end of the day we had 1 victory for the Normans, 1 for the Viking and 1 draw as neither side could gain the upper hand. I guess it worked well for all who had a game and was enjoyable. The rules were understood very fast and from round three onwards we had to explain very few things.
