have only read through them at this point.

did generate a question though. groups can only fire at groups. but, a group is only applicable during your own turn (i.e. a leader raises a group with an action, then that group "ends" when APs are finished).

this means that there are never enemy groups to fire at.

i'm assuming that "group" in this instance actually means "a group of figures within 3cm of each other"

a Group is when you have more than one figure in contact and one is a leader. Also figures shaken don't belog to a Group hence they can split a Group into two or (in case we have only 1 leader) reduce its size

cheers. this kind of confirms my suspicion. if your opponent doesn't ever form groups you can't ever fire as one.

will playtest when we can and see how it runs.

I now had my second game of L&S both using the 1066 supplement (after telling people about S&R for 5 five years I finally get to play this skirmish system).
I like the system quiet a lot. It is nice how you have a more complex close combat system with different weapons having different effects.
The shooting is devastating, some 4 archers and (un)lucky dice can really crumble your advance and make you take cover and reorganize your planned charge. This I have to test some more times and maybe take into account when choosing unit sizes.

Overall it feels fine and is a lot of fun. I have some questions I will ask at the relevant point.
