Salute 2015
Hi All, the organisers of Salute 2015 have decided upon the battle of Agincourt as this year's theme for the show. The Society of Ancients plans to put on a 25mm game of the battle using Impetus rules. We have borrowed a collection that models both sides, and we intend that the game will be for participation.
Obviously, a game like this requires a good deal of preparation. We will be having some test games, but we would also value advice from experienced Impetus players, especially on the subject of how the battle should be scaled to make it playable and fun.
If you can help with this please get in touch.
I am hoping that Lorenzo will pay us a visit, and if so perhaps we can persuade him to chat to us about the rules and the philosophy behind them.
Regards to all

Re: Salute 2015
We have done quite a few big medieval games at our club with Impetus and they have all been great fun.
The only main change we make to the rules are that we roll once for deciding which side goes first - rather than rolling for each command. This way everyone can get on with it and not be hanging around for their turn.
Apart from that we find the rules work great as they are and the bigger the game the better.
I have tried introducing secret objective and mission cards to games but to be honest they are usually completely ignored as everyone gets stuck in! In our view, large multi-player games with Impetus are our favourite of all wargames and we do them as often as possible with various armies.
Are you going to have prisoners? It was quite a feature of Agincourt and Impetus doesn't really have rules for that. I would be interested to see how you deal with that.
I will also have a chat next club night to see if anyone else has any ideas.
Good luck - will be great fun and knowing you guys will be a great spectacle as well
