TR in baroque
I heard a rumour that TR in the new baroque will be able to move, shoot, move. I think that this is awesome.
I have a question tho. TR have pistol, so they'll be trotting in to shot at point blank.
Wouldn't this mean that what they're shooting at can react and pummel them before they can get their shot away?

Re: TR in baroque
sorry, missed this post.
Well all mounted will be able to do so and will not pay for movement too, but ifyou make a secondo move you have to make a D test of course.
Pistol will be of 2 types. Pistol and Point Blanc Pistol. Those who have the first has also the second, while some may have only the point blanc. PBP is similar to pilum.
Sorry cannot understand the last question

Re: TR in baroque
no problem, thanks for the reply.
in ancient Impetus it's possible to react to anything moving with 5MU to shoot. so for example my S frequently walks to within point blank to shoot or javelin disrupted infantry.
will this same reaction exist in Baroque?
if this is the case, TR will trot up to point blank (because this is the only shooting range for pistols), be shot at, then attempt to take their shot.
but, point blank with muskets is likely to decimate them, making the pistol pointless. you'd never actually use it.

Re: TR in baroque
In Baroque reaction/opportunity is different and there is no longer the Zone of Control.
If you want to react you have to pass a Discipline Test. There are modifiers according to the kind of reaction or troop type.
So when you move or fire one unit of the opponent can try to react. But your opponent can make just one attempt and also a Unit that reacted or simply tried to react cannot react any more that turn. You have to think about before reacting.
