Scots Isles and Highlands.

Just looking at this list from EI5 (p10)
The FP nobles (6-3) cost 21 points yet don't have shieldwall capability.
Yet Viking veteran huscarles in EI2(p25) with the same stats and same cost do have shieldwall.

Is Shieldwall a free ability or have I missed something?

the shieldwall "benefit" is indeed free.

is perhaps a rule that might need tightening up...to me it seems to be a good benefit without too much disadvantages

maybe in view of the new advanced rules , like having to pass a discipline test to evade, it might be the same for shieldwall? (when used as a reaction to firing/charging)
