A Modest Proposal concerning Generals

Guess what happened to me, today?

We played the Saladin at the Gates campaign. And a lot of fun it was, as well.

My Expert rolled up to Charismatic.

I proceeded to fail almost every discipline and initiative test in which I took part. One unit of Turcopoles wiped out two Bedouin, a Turcoman and a ghulam unit in one turn.

Needless to say, Saladin won't be at the gates for some time.

I've said it before, it's all in the dice roll. That's why I normally take Fair Generals and I "normally" do OK on the dice rolls for Initiative.
