Average Hits per Melee Dice Rolled

Assuming my math is correct, maybe this information could be useful to some players, particularly new players.

As a rough guideline, the number of expected hits per number of dice rolled is as follows:

4 dice	1 hit
8 dice	2 hits
12 dice	3 hits
16 dice	4 hits

With the above table, other dice rolls are easy to figure out. For example, the expected number of hits when rolling 10 dice is 2.5 (halfway between 8 and 12).
