Questions on Opportunity/Defensive Fire and 'Pursuits'
While playing an ECW game two questions regarding the rules came up during game play on Monday night they were;
1. Do Cavalry require a 'rally discipline test' to not not keep charging straight ahead after destroying an opponent? We think we played it right as the way we read the rules one wasn't required, but some playing thought it could be worth ruling a test is required for certain horse units as it was a known for them to keep galloping off into the distance sometimes.
2. Does a Unit that has performed its own actions including firing or melee in the current turn during its 'phase' have a option to conduct Defensive or Opportunity fire in the same turn? From our reading of the rules all units can attempt to react once per turn despite their 'status' so played it that they could.
Thanks!

Re: Questions on Opportunity/Defensive Fire and 'Pursuits'
Are we talking about Baroque, right?
1) Only few cavalry (fast and Gallopers) are forced to pursue. For other troops is just an option.
2) Making actions during your own activation is not a reaction. Reaction (one per turn per Unit) is only when you are not active, but your opponent is.
