What constitutes a group ?

Hi everyone,

This could be a dumb question , but the other day I was setting out a command for a game and made up a group of 2 FL units in the centre, adjacent , flanked by 2 units of S each flank one behind the other. Then I noticed that the FL and S units have bases of different depths, although same base widths. Would these 6 units still constitute a group even though their bases don’t line up ?

Groups consisting of those infantry units are legal, so I do not think the base side should matter, as long as the requirements for forming the group are otherwise met.

It's a group, different depth of single Units don't matter
