Point Costs

Which would you rather have?:

FL 5 1 B 2 at 18 points

or

FL 4 4 C 1 Impet.
FL 4 4 C 1 Impet.
deep unit totaling 18 points

It seems like the second one is significantly better for the cost. However, I am not very experienced, and may be missing something. Let me know your thoughts.

You are only comparing the two units against each other. In that case the warband is probably the better value. But let me ask you this, which unit would do better against 6/4C CP. 5/1B by a long shot. Also, the difference between 4 and 5 in VBU is significant. Most of the time my 4/4 Sea Peoples warbands in my NKE army gets slaughtered. They are essentially useless. Once in a while they do something spectacular but not every often.

And the discipline difference is very important.
The "B" unit is less likely to disorder and has better chances to recover from it.
In practice it also maneuveurs better.
