Firing Priorities
Hi
Yesterday in a game we had a situation where there was a bow armed unit of CL (lets call it unit A) with an enemy CL unit directly to its front, facing it (lets call it unit Z) and just within 15U. Directly to the side of unit A was another unit of enemy CL but within 1U (lets call it unit X). Units A and X were side on to each other and in fact about 2mm apart but not touching. It was unit A's turn and under the Firing Priorities rule they could only shoot at unit Z to its front (at short range) and not at unit X to its side which would have been at point blank range. Two questions:
A. Did we do it correctly?
B. If the answer is yes, am I the only one that sees that situation as odd? That is, a unit able to shoot 360 degrees having to shoot at a unit over a normal move away for CL (12U) and not able to shoot at the unit within 1U?
Grateful for your thoughts.
Cheers Paul

Re: Firing Priorities
I think Lorenzo clarified this some time ago - for units that are able to fire out of different sides they may declare which base edge they are using for firing before applying the firing limitations - so you could declare the fire would be to the flank then apply the restrictions.

Hi
Thanks very much for both replies. I couldn't find this anywhere in Advanced Impetus, is it there somewhere?
