Clarification of Modifiers to Missile Fire
Hi,
I was reviewing an assembled QRS when I stumbled across this modifier:
minus 1d6 for any troops firing at short range or less
And I wondered, why would missile troops be penalized for firing a short range or less? Is this an error on my part - perhaps something lost in transcription?

I guess this is a note that has become detached from its context. My own QRS has: "-2 when firing at S, CL and ART. If S or CL are firing at other S or CL, or any troops firing at short range or less then the penalty is only -1"
Perhaps the QRS needs to be re-phrased, but it only applies to shooting at S, CL or Art.

AW, can you be more specific about the modifier in question. Is with respect to the Cohesion Test or missile fire? In taking the CT there are modifiers for missile fire that reduce in the impact of damage, the idea being that melee is the baseline for unit cohesiveness and combat effectiveness. The CT modifier for long and extreme range fire is +2.

Thanks for reply. Double-checked the QRS and my assembly of it as a play-aide (I use larger type so I can see it!) and it does appear that I mistakenly truncated the modifier line. Ooops.
