Armoured troops - a new
Looking at the early period there are still some heavy/fully armoured troops,
Giving them CUIRASS does not seem to reflect the armour level.
I thought of a new trait - ARM'D
-2d v bow, -1d any other except shooting by artillery +5 points
units also take the SLOW trait.
Thoughts ?

I'm guessing this has already been accounted for in the army lists to a certain extent. Like early and late tercios for example.

Troops of the main period covered were not heavily/fully armoured. Its the Fully armoured Gendarmes (etc.) of the early period not covered.

I think that cuirass is enough. Just an improvement against bow, while muskets and also arquebus were enough effective to move towards the abandon of full armour. At this scale is just a detail to give more taste, as it is VBU to count more.

Were there still a lot of fully armoured gendarmes knocking around from 1560? I thought they'd all downgraded to 3/4 armour by then.

There may have been a few 'dregs' very early on but yes your quiet right I think. The edge they once had (or thought they had) would have suffered a pretty sudden reality check.
