Reaction by exhausted troops
On page 9 it says exhausted troops can't react.
On page 24 it says that a unit that has its ZOC violated can always react. Is it correct to assume that the rule on page 9 takes precedence? That an exhausted unit that has its ZOC violated can not react?

Re: Reaction by exhausted troops
Also, commands that are demoralized cannot engage in reactions either.
We play it as you suggest, exhausted units do not react to ZOC violations.

Exhausted Units cannot react in any situation, including for ZoC violation.

Re: Reaction by exhausted troops
Does this mean large units with an exhausted rear unit cannot react because you say 'Exhausted units cannot react in any situation'. I know the test will be for the modifiers of the front unit but if counter charge successful the exhausted rear rank would also have to go forward as part of the reaction. We play it that you can react with a large unit where the rear unit is exhausted.

Meant to add any losses on rear T behind say spear ignore losses as long as front rank not exhausted which wont happen until T destroyed.

Re: Reaction by exhausted troops
It doesn't specifically state this in 2.6.2 but I am very confident that exhaustion follows the same principle as loss of impetus etc. found in this section. So, yes the T unit will be gone before the FP is exhausted. As Lorenzo has mentioned in the past imagine the archers in the back stand frittering away in the tension of the battle rather than hard losses. It reflects more a failure of morale than actual dead men.
