Evading and Discipline Tests Empty Evading and Discipline Tests

We've been playing Impetus a long time and we've made certain unconscious assumptions about the game I'm sure. One unconscious assumption is the following your assistance is much appreciated.

Medium Cavalry (CM) and Light Chariots (CGL)
Amendment to paragraph 5.4.3. Medium Cavalry (CM) and Light War Chariots (CGL) may move to the rear, even as a Group, without an automatic disorder if they pass the Discipline Test after the movement. Such movement to the rear is not allowed to large Units.

Does the above amendment apply to CM and CGL that evade? That is, is evading considered movement to the rear? We have been playing that evading is not considered movement to the rear as per the above rule. In our play the player only makes one DT at the moment the CM chooses to evade (to see whether it can evade or not) and not a second test at the end of its move. Is this correct?

I'd say Evasion is different to Movement to the Rear, one test covers all in both situations.

the difference is that the movement to the rear is for the activated unit, while evasion is a reaction (conditions must occour) and so it is just for the non active player.

Also the move to the rear is always possible, but it can end in disorder or not, according to D test, while if you fail the D test, you cannot evade.
