CF scythed chariots and other expendables?
hi all
can anyone throw some light for me on CF scythed chariots and more importantly incendiary oxen!!!!
persian CF scythed chariots are 7pts chinese incendiary oxen are 11pts where do they differ?
chariots move like chariots...duh and are impetuous.
do chinese CF incendiary oxen move the same or do they follow normal movement rules?
on page 11 of the rule book it states that CF are automatically destroyed after the first "TURN" of melee. i take this to mean that they fight, follow up fight again etc etc until end of turn then die.
but what happens if they fight, their opponent retreats further than the CF follow up. the melee is ended, do they still die?
IMHO i think the rule is meant to imply that they die automatically at the end of a turn if they do not eliminate the enemy and are still in contact with that enemy unit.
isnt really their fault if the enemy runs away faster than them!
all the best

I have always played that they win or die but cant really say if that is true. Usually the best you can achieve is a disorder on the target, but then again that can be quite critical and they are cheap

yes they are intended to disorder the enemy. If they win, much better, but it is about impossible VS formed foot. So the best thing they can achieve is to win and (try to) follow up against another enemy, otherwise they are removed.
As for the cost if the have the same stats, probably it is a typo (7 pts is the cost). I will check.
