15mm Scythed Chariots
Hi
I'm just about to create some 15mm scythed chariot units and was wondering how many chariot models people tend to put on an 8cm wide base?
Grateful for any thoughts.
Cheers Paul

Re: 15mm Scythed Chariots
For scythed chariots I just do one. I feel that they're supposed to represent a thin screen
With other chariots I've not really had to do any, (I suppose there are some ancient Britons who I ought to do something with)
Elephants I tend to do 2 to a base, except for generals

Agreed, for scythed and heavy chariots one per base - light chariots 2 per base.
Elephants again 1 per base if accompanied by infantry, otherwise 2 per base.
It's purely an aesthetic thing though, good basing and scenic additions can go a long way to avoiding the "model on a huge slab" problem - add skirmishers and casualties, rocks and stuff if the base is a bit sparse.

Yes, it's important that you remember that the look of the thing is what matters. There isn't really a 'right' or 'wrong' number of figures, although with infantry and cavalry, the heavier, the more figures, is a good rule
But looking good is also important :-)
