leaving difficult terrain
3.2 (3) Difficult ground states that leaving this ground does not lead to disorder. In a recent game we had a debate as to whether a unit has to completely leave the ground to not be disordered or simply be in the process with the front of the unit having left but part of the unit still in the ground. (such as cavalry which cannot leave in 1H due to the depth of the base) Canm someone clarify please.

Re: leaving difficult terrain
Think the answer is in 3.1 page 15 and the example at bottom right hand side of that page. You have to have more than half of the unit outside the difficult terrain to count as outside for movement purposes.
Remember if you start the move in disorder you will need to pass a DT to rally from disorder if you fail the test you can still leave the terrain but will be in disorder.

Thanks so you do not have to completely leave which is what I thought.

Re: leaving difficult terrain
If you start the turn in good order or rally from disorder you can move and remain in good order if at least half of the unit is outside the difficult terrain.
