Skirmishers cancel each other out?
Dear group,
played my 1st game of BI2 that weekend and enjoyed it very much.
We found out that it was not possible to fire as a Skirmisher against other skirmishers because of the modifiers for shooting.
My partner, an experienced Impetus-Player stated that they have a houerule to allow 1 D6 if skirmishers want to fire at skirmishers.
Is is intentionally that skirmishers cancel each other out?
Warm regards
Franz

Re: Skirmishers cancel each other out?
Hi Franz -
When I play I stick to the rules and thus skirmishers shooting will negate each other. You would have to push the enemy skirmishers away with something heavier if you want to get rid of them.
Unless you want to commit to fighting hand to hand with skirmishers. If you do the role is usually 2 dice to hit so becomes a bit lucky chance to get a hit and the skirmishers can often be locked in hand to hand for a few rounds before this happens. This can be good if you want to block movement of troops behind though??
Just something else to think about?
Cheers Jez

For comparison, Impetus 2 allows at least 1 die regardless of the modifiers.
