So true. I am now worried that I might have to rebase some units!

i have deliberately avoided the thorny issue of sparabara and bow supported ANE troops because there was no real consensus on how they would be represented.

I've just about completed my mammoth Hellenistic expansion, fortunately I doubt that will require any rebasing.

You are spot on Zippee in that I was specifically thinking about my Middle Assyrian army that was built on the Beta Lists. It is possible that the Ashasharittu mentioned in the guide refers to a later Assyrian list but the numbers look very similar.

The sad part is that the basing looks so good. So here is keeping my fingers crossed.

And spooky? I say it shows true insight into the rules on your part Zippee.

More that this was the subject of a very lengthy and ultimately inconclusive debate in the early development stages of 2ed where all we really agreed on was that the ANE beta lists were really not very good.

And if the basing was good first time around, imagine how good it'll be second time around with all that experience to draw upon!

no rebasing required! Why shoud you?

If Ashasharrittu become two stand units, I may have to rebase them. In fall fairness I built the Middle Assyrians from a Beta list so you take your chances.

in the Middle Arryrian the are 2 Units, yes. Ashasharrittu + supporting archers. You can just add a Unit of supporting archers and leave the Ashasharrittu as they are.

As you can see I made up my Ashasharittu as a one stand unit with the front rank as spearmen and the back rank as archers. What I will need to do is consolidate the archers and spearmen each into their own stand. As I mentioned above, when you do a Beta List you take your chances.

Will the Warbook 1 be made available as a PDF?

Lorenzo has mentioned that when Warbook 2 comes out Warbook 1 will be offered as a PDF.
