6mm EAP force

Hi All

Here is the start of my 6mm AEP force.
Other than some epic eldar this is the first lot of 6mm I have done and am still learning how to base in multiple ranks.

Hope to get a couple of bow units done next

Hi All

Little bit of work done over the last week or so on my 6mm stuff, now done most of the easy cavalry force so need to get crackign on with the infantry now. My additional units have arrived from Rapier to allow me to do LAP as well as EAP

Dale the EIR player has a much bigger force and Parthian Dave is up to over a 400 point Impetus force now, it is even rumored that Spanish Reece has started work on his figs.

Work has slowed down after my week off but I have time off in Sep and Oct as well so should start to catch up.

Tiny bit of work done. Next two spear sparabara varnished ready to base.
We have a game of EIR vs LAP on Saturday, morthing into LAP I can just do a 300 point list.
Still got three or four infantry units and some scythed chariots to get the EAP to 300.
Needless to say I am a little excited by the whole 6mm Impetus project we are undertaking.

One of the nice things about 6mm is that you can use chariots as commanders. Can't do this in 28mm.

Been a while but on with finishing three more Sparabara units.
Our club aimed for us to each do a 300 point then 350 and 400 point armies.

Dave smashed it with his Parthians, Dale must be there or close with his Romans and I still need another three units to even get to 300. I could add in more expensive units and do it but sticking with what I wanted to do originally.

Reece has stalled and the Spanish/Carthaginians are still in the box, he is young an still has a life so can be forgiven.

Just got to finish the bases and I will put some pics up this week then on with the last two archer units and a unit of scythed chariots.

Looking forward to getting some more of these lads done, battles to follow when our group is next allowed to meet up.

Finally got the last three units for my 350 point force done, I am way behind the other lads. Well way behind Dave and Dale, Reece is rumoured to have got his figs out of their bags, maybe the forced isolation will mean the Spanish make it to the gaming table.

So far Dave's Parthian's are pretty much up to a zillion points, Dale's EIR force is about 700-800 and may lads at a push could probably get to about 400-500 if I upgraded stuff.

Looking forward to some more games if we get out, or maybe via Skype.

We did a DBA game yesterday and I think Impetus would work but be a little slower.

Latest three units, got to the 350 goal my group set. Much later than some and much earlier than others.

My boys get to fight tomorrow.

First the Parthians will be doing me over and then Rome will be chopping up whats left.
I love Persia but do wonder how they ever won an empire.

I would have thought EAP were a decent Impetus army. Large units and lots of shooting. I would have thought the Parthians would especially have trouble against your EAP.

Managed to give the Romans a bloody nose.
One wing of cavalry wiped out the Roman skirmish cavalry on my left wing.

A unit of heavy chariots on my right moved towards the Roman archers to give em something to worry about and something to fire at whilst my centre shot up the advancing Roman foot.

By the time the Romans got to my centre they had lost a legion unit and a couple more had taken hits.

My cavalry now came back to hit the Romans in the rear leading to a great Persian victory.

We may have played it a little incorrectly but shooting at disordered units with multiple shooting units was a great way to kill em off.

Thanks to one of the guys taking on a painting commission for another chap the ancient Spanish are about to appear and then morph into Carthage.

Must say I am loving the rules and don't fancy fighting the Spanish in terrain, so far our battlefields have been fairly sparce.

Work has started on some additional units, more horse archers and another unit of sythed chariots, going to get some skirmish troops and hoplites done next.
Intention is to be able to morph between EAP & LAP armies.
Reports now confirmed that the Spanish are def ready to hit the table next week.
