Yes that should be included as per the tournament guidelines. No need to halve the max for the main troop type if you so choose.
As for the cut off for medievals there is none ...all published/beta lists are acceptable. ( is there any that go past early renaissance anyway ? )

Re: MOAB '14 Sydney, Aus
MOAB is tomorrow.
We have twelve players, four of them new to Impetus.
We'll keep you posted.
Tarty has been very busy.
I, on the other hand, have been skiving off.
And I won't even mention what Granicus has been doing. It's too appalling to admit.
Should be a good competition.

Re: MOAB '14 Sydney, Aus
Well I can't speak for GG but I was clubbed to death in both games.
6x4 tables and a horse archer army are not happy workmates.
GG seemed to be having a jolly time being an evil Yorkist.
And Tarty was being philosophical. I think that's what the glazed look was about.
Lunch was good.
It's depressing having a reputation of zero on this forum. How does one improve?

White Rose triumphant!
We shall have to see if history repeats and early triumphs turn to total losses...

Re: MOAB '14 Sydney, Aus
And the official placings are as follows:
First: Rob Bruce - Yorkists
Second: Ralph Hawker - Classical Indians
Third: Scott Driscoll - Late Romans (East)
Fourth: Mike Chrysler - Early Athenian Hoplites
Encouragement Award: Mike Chrysler
Best painted army: Scott Driscoll
Best lunch: John Richards
Tarty will have the specific numbers.
A great weekend and another step forward in helping to establish Impetus in the Antipodes. A very relaxed atmosphere for the most part and some great games going.
Congratulations to everyone, particularly Tarty and the players.
The now traditional Impetus luncheon was epic

Will this format be the same at MOAB in 2015?

Re: MOAB '14 Sydney, Aus
MOAB 15 will cut off at Dark Ages ..... so no lists after 1100 AD
The other things that will happen is no more than 50pts spent on generals and the superior commander of the two ( if there is one ) must be on table.
Also the latest version of Advanced Impetus will be used.
Think that's it .... everything else will be the same

Re: MOAB '14 Sydney, Aus
Cut off at 1100BC. Excellent.
About time we had a purely Bronze Age tournament.
None of that new-fangled hoplite rubbish.
1100 AD, perhaps Tarty?

Re: MOAB '14 Sydney, Aus
Mind you ...... straight up Bronze Age competition is something I would dearly love to do one day
We just need a few more people to get hooked on real ancient armies and we're all systems go !

Re: MOAB '14 Sydney, Aus
OK then. So far as I understand it I will need 2 generals worth combined value of 50 points, with 300 points worth of command structure and troops, in two commands, from any army list up to no later than 1100AD.
What about a camp?
And terrain?

You don't HAVE to take exactly 50 points of generals, you can take UP to and INCLUDING 50 points of generals.
You will need a camp unless the list says that particular army doesn't (Hussites as an example from memory)
Terrain is usually Tartty's preserve, he has quite a collection.

Re: MOAB '14 Sydney, Aus
We supply terrain, Zktaa.
Baggage is, of course, free but compulsory except for those rare exceptions as GG has noted.
And GG is exactly right on command breakdown. You could even take three commanders with 50pts but they'd be pretty horrible. Mind you, it'd be funny.

Re: MOAB '14 Sydney, Aus
Yep what they said Zktaa. You can also bring your own terrain pieces to use if you wish.... so long as they're the correct dimensions as per Advanced Impetus guidelines
