Javelin Armed CL

Wanted to clarify the question of which CL get a one action and fire without penalty. The way it is written it says "All CL and Javelin Armed Infantry" which suggests that all CL get this free action for firing modifications. Further down in 6.1.3.1 it says "so a CL Unit that performs 2 moves and throws javelins does so at a minus 2, not minus 1" which gives the impression the action without penalty only applies to javelin armed CL. We suspect it is the later that Lorenzo intended which would expand the javelin rule to all javelin armed units (S, FL and now CL.) Which is the correct interpretation?

Until we have a ruling we are playing it as follows.

"All CL and Infantry armed with javelin...."

We suspect this is a translational error.

Thanks, and just to clarify further for my benefit what you are saying is:

"All CL (regardless of missile weapon type) and javelin armed infantry" get the free action for firing modifications.

Is that correct?

No, we think only CL with javelin get the bonus. I can see the challenge of writing this.

How about this,

"All javelin armed troop types ..."

Could be wrong but it makes sense in the context of how the Shooting Table was changed in Impetus 2 from Impetus. I don't think all CL shooting troops are meant to the free bonus move but I could be wrong. Just a hunch.

the bonus is for ALL CL and for foot with javelin.
If they perform only ONE movement action then they don't pay penalty.
