Free Massed

Hi,

A few more games played, across the time period, and a few more observations and queries.

1. SM reduction for Dragoons works well and removed criticism by new players
2. The 'free' massed upgrades in the lists are a problem
- a massed upgrade should be approx 5 points
the points system says to add 6 for the MM2, and -1 for slow

currently why would you not mass if you can when its free. The SLOW (or loss of FAST) generally does have a huge impact but you are usually slower across the table. There is not enough artillery (at least in our games) to cause many problems either.

But everyone has fun.

I agree on the free massing. really no downside. Lots of things are already slow in the game.

at the very least a penalty should be that a massed unit is +1 VD so it hurts alot when that large unit is lost.

ETE or LTE with VBU 7 or 8 are also problematic. nearly unstoppable and then for a measly 5 pts you can give them hardened units so they reroll sixes in cohesion tests??!!! This really should cost more.
