Caesar's Legions - Allied Auxiliaries?

New to the forum and Impetus!

I'm in the process of putting a list of figures (15mm) together that I will need to make an army based on the Caesar's Romans list in the main rulebook. I'm just a bit puzzled by what the 'Allied Auxiliaries' (FL) listed actually represent? I'm familiar with the Numidian, Spanish and Cretans listed for skirmishers and the auxiliary units that were part of the army in the later Imperial period, just not sure what these represent particularly as they do not have javelins.

The army lists in the rules might change with Impetus 2.
The problem with them is that they've probably become a bit dated with the work that has been done creating other lists.
