New website

Lately I'm pretty busy with the translation of Baoque and with the new website.
I hope to launch the new website in about 1 week.
This means that in the first days some links could not work or some bugs can be present. I hope to fix everything soon, but if you will se some bug, please report them to me.

The beta lists as well as BI lists will be moved to a pdf.

Will this forum still exist and be linked to the new site, or will there be another new one?

This forum is linked in all pages of the English version (the Italian version brings to Dadi&Piombo forum that is in Italian and less focussed on D&P games, but a general wargame forum)

I beg to differ. Their current format makes their conversion into Word or Excel (or any other application) much easier. You can then plan out different conformations for your forces.

PDF conversion always creates weirdness.

But what do I know? I would prefer a volatile (i.e. editable) online version. It would stop the endlessly annoying consultation through the army list books, amendments and clarifications for the latest "Holy Writ". It doesn't even have to be the whole version - just the affected parts.

Great new Page! It´s good to see that the Home of Impetus is modern, clear and easy to navigate and read.
You should definetly add again the Basing Information Page to Impetus, I used this content so often!

yes now I have to improve step by step the pages, adding more contents and the basingis the next as well as adirect link from Impetus page to Basic Impetus page (and viceversa)

I see what you mean starkadder. I tried to cut and paste the beta lists into a Word document and it didn't keep any formatting. I suppose one can simply print from the webpage as Lorenzo says and the new formatting does save space. Still, it was cool to be able to cut and paste the old beta lists easily into a Word document.

I downloaded all the beta lists a while back, Gaius, and I am glad I did.

I have quite a few armies and available variants. One of my amusements is to make lots of different lists for 350 tournament armies. I use Excel and a couple of other applications as calculators.

I don't understand how HTML is not suitable for the new website but I go with it. There are PDF converters but they don't behave nicely when faced with any complex layout. 

The odd thing is the hold that PDFs still have on people. They hearken back to the days when people wanted a document to look like a printed page. They really are just a digital photocopy and absorb printing ink like a sponge if you are brave enough to print them out.

Pity.

Will Basic Impetus and it's army lists be added soon? I cannot find them.

Basic Impetus lists are already online, you access from Basic Impetus page http://dadiepiombo.it/english-basic.html

As for Beta lista old file I see what I can do.
I will try to make some copy and paste from the old html pages and if it doesn't work I will try to keep them online.

anyway if the problem is to paste and copy, you have 2 options.

Paste the text or paste as an image, In the first option you loose the format, but the list is still easy to understand. When you play you make your own list and then you can edit the format. I mean the best is just to consult not during the game.

The second option is probaby the best. Make the screen shot and paste on the word file.

Ahh I see you listed Basic Impetus and the lists underneath other rules and not under Impetus. I just assumed it would be included in the Impetus section and not in other rules. Anyhow thank you for pointing it out.
