ADVANCED IMPETUS 2015

I will take few days before "advertising" it so that we can still find possible errors.

For the new amendments I have called Supporting Flanks but probably Covering Flanks is better. Opinions are welcome.

They way it is written supporting flanks is perfectly clear, but if you wish to call it covering flanks is fine to.

English is a fantastic language it allows wargamers to re-interpret any sentence into meaning exactly what they want it to say .......


the more defined and clear any new rules are, the better.

Supported Flanks works for me.

In the Ambush Section you said you were going to add the following sentence, "In the case of a FM arriving within 6U of a terrain piece containing a unit in Ambush, the arrival of the first FM unit within 6U of that terrain reveals the Ambush."

I was told today not to buy Impetus now as there will be a new edition soon.

Sort of. We've been expecting it for a while and it looks like being a while longer...

@ Dennis. The sentence has been added, end of point 4)

@ Zktaa. Impetus 2 is on the workbench but at the moment we are still ending Baroque. I think that Impetus 2 will be hardly released before December 2015 and more probably it wil go out by Spring 2016.

You need to amend the wording in Advanced Impetus V Flank March Example in paragraph 3.   What is a Discrete General?   Should read "Fair General."

4) If the FM is successful, then the Units belonging to the
entering Command are placed at the Player’s
choice within 12U from the side edge. These Units must
be placed at least 5U (3U if 28mm) from any enemy Units
(measure from the closest points, ignore baggage).
Units that have no room to arrive on table will be
deployed next turn(s) if they have room.

Have you downloaded the 2015 version, the link at the start of this thread?

if you have trouble with the link above try to dowload from impetusnews.blogspot.com or from Wargames Vault. I have no idea why you still get the older version

Thanks I actually worked that out on my own yesterday and have now got the latest amendments. You may need to change it on the website as well so that they are all the same version.

Can we hope a french version of the rules ?

I need some people not reading english and french rules could be very good for new players here in France.
