The Gathering - An Impetus Tournament
The Gathering - An Impetus Tournament
Dunfermline Wargames Club presents
The Gathering on Sunday 12th October at the Rosyth Civil Service Club from 11 am until 6.30 pm.
This is a one day open event for Impetus will be for gamers using 28mm armies at 350 points with the standard Impetus 28mm tournament rules applying, which can be found here:
http://www.dadiepiombo.it/images/stories/dp/advanced_eng.pdf
In armies with multiple commands, the larger command cannot exceed 75%
The timetable for the days gaming will be as below
Game 1: 11 am - 1 pm
Lunch 1 - 2 pm
Game 2: 2 - 4 pm
Game 3: 4 - 6 pm
As previously mentioned the venue is the very pleasant, Rosyth Civil Service Club on Castle Road, Rosyth, KY11 2HU
Directions available : http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&cp= ... a=N&tab=wl
Please note that the club venue is just after the roundabout shown on the map at the start of Castle Road.
The Civil Service Club is fully licensed and offers food at very reasonable rates. For those players who are interested lunch can be ordered on arrival and each individual will be responsible for paying for the own lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided during the games. Please remember entry to the tournament is free.
All armies should be painted and based to the requirements of the rules for the scale being used.
A quick note on substitute figures; this is allowed within reason. For example a stand of Macedonian Pike could be used for Successors or any Hellenistic period army but would not be acceptable for a Germanic Warband. It is up to the individual players to ensure that their opponents are aware of any substitute figures; points may deducted for unsporting use of substitute figures, that is undeclared at the start of the game.
As with all Impetus events this is about promoting an excellent set of rules, having fun and enjoying the day's gaming in a relaxed environment.
Army lists to be submitted by Saturday 4th October to my self at:
roma912 at gmail dot com
Please provide your full name and address with your army list to help with signing all players into the Civil Service Club.
I am hoping for as much interest as possible for this Impetus day and if numbers allow we will game within period for the first game. Thereafter the games will be based on the Swiss system. If there are insufficient numbers the games will be determined on the day. Terrain will be provided and will be fixed for each table.
