Here are my thoughts on the composition of the Irish Army 1689-91, with the costs based on those on the sticky.

1. 0-1 unit of Professional Guards
P+M, Guard. M1, VBU 6, I 1, D A, VD 3; PM, Salvo, SM-1. Cost 73 pts

2. 2-4 established regiments
P+M. M1, VBU 6, I 1, D B, VD 3; PM, Salvo, SM -2. Cost 66 pts each.

3. 0-2 French regiments

As 2 above.

4. 0-2 Poorly armed and led recruits
P+M. M 1, VBU 5, I 0, D C, VD 2; PM, SM -3; Recruits (-5). Cost 44 pts

5. 0-2 Better drilled
P+M. M 1, VBU 4, I 1, D C, VD 2; PM, SM -3. Cost 43 pts

6. 0-1 Motivated Horse
TR, PB Pistol. M 2, VBU 6, I 2, D B, VD 3; PB Pistol, Motivated. Cost 53 pts

7. 1-5 Horse
TR, PB Pistol. M2, VBU 6, I 2, D B, VD 3; PB Pistol. Cost 47 pts. One unit may be upgraded to Iron Leaders for +5 pts.

8. 0-4 Dragoons
DR, musket. M 2, VBU 5, I 2, D B, VD 2; Muskets. Cost 55 pts

9. 0-2 Artillery B
