Book 4 army lists
Hi
N
Been playing a few games from the new lists, which as yet are not available from Amazon.
This historical side of the lists has some funnies.
The first I noticed is that the English seem to be finished after 1415? Nothing like the real history in which they dominate France until Joan appears.
The second is how did the mamlukes get to India?
I am sure there are some more funnies? Anybody else found them?

Why you say that the English (I suppose you are speaking of the 100YW) finished in 1415? The list in Warbook 4 covers from 1327 to 1455.
As for Mamluks, they ruled the Delhi sultanate. But still probably I miss the sense of your post.

With the English I am referring to the comments, these suggest after 1415 the English did very little, in fact the opposite is true.
As regards to mamluks? We’re these not Indian versions of slaves soldiers, I was not aware that the real ones left the Middle East?

Well, background texts are just a quick description of the armies not the whole history of that army. Dates on top say the starting and the ending period covered by the list.
As for Mamluks in India you may give a look at this chap

Re: Book 4 army lists
Thanks for your reply, my point about the comments at the end of army lists, is that they should not be misleading. Children often learn history by first playing wargames and then following up the comments on their fav army.
Thanks for the ref about the Mameluke leader, which I was aware of. With regards to real Mamluks I still suspect that he raised fresh troops in India, trained in the Mameluke style.
h3 wo7ld have been used to, is Indian Mamelukes etc.
