Closed ranks

In middle of game closing ranks. Notice on alternative playsheet says +2 the rules state+1?

QRS is wrong. A couple of mistakes and an omission about closed ranks.

DT modifier is:
+1 for FP (and not +2)
+1 if charged by non-EL mounted (and not -1)

Also in the Impact Bonus Reduction is missing the -2 reduction for closed ranks.

Shouldn't it be +1 for being charged by CM or CL. That means not getting +1 for CP, CGL, CGP, CF and EL.

Here is a summary that may be helpful to beginners.

FP and FL can try to react by closing their ranks if charged by mounted (except elephants) not in the flank or rear.

Discipline Test

In order to close ranks, the unit must pass a Discipline Test. Groups can close ranks with a single test if all units are targeted by the charge. The following modifiers are applied:

-1 if in Disorder or Fragmented
+1 for FP
+1 if charging unit is CM or CL

Effect

Closed ranks does or allows the following:

1. reduces by 2 the Impetus Bonus of charging troops.

2. adds a +1 modifier on the Cohesion Test.

3. prohibits the unit from pursuing.

4. allows PBW shooting.

Closed Ranks is cancelled when the unit is forced to retreat.
