Tokens and such
I've just recently purchased a 3D printer....
One of the first things off the rank will be to design some tokens for Impetus and Baroque (the list as from yesterday was up to 24 different markers )
Couldn't find anything on the www specifically designed for Impetus. Has anyone found any stl files out there ....that I've missed ?
Think they'll make good Chrissy presents for friends this year

Re: Tokens and such
One of the fascinating elements of Impetus is that there is no standardized tokens. We only play Impetus in our own group so we have established conventions around marking. But what happens at tournaments where disparate people gather to game with different conventions. How does that work? Standardized tokens could be useful.

Yes when regularly playing with the same group it's possible to limit your markers on the table (think this looks better anyway).
As I'm getting older I myself need an extra helping hand remembering what's what these days also... heh heh heh
Anyway I've started the process yesterday, with my tenuous grasp on the required design software.
Good friend did point out scrabble tiles and a roll of paper labels could go a long way here... but that's no fun.

Re: Tokens and such
Generally we have always got by with just disorder tokens (for which we use model casualties).
We do find a command marker for each command useful though, reversible - one side 'activated' the other not.
These days something to denote a unit has taken its reaction is helpful but I think that's about it.

This is the one that has regularly been catching me out with Imp2. Baroque ...the same.

Re: Tokens and such
We use laser cut MDF tokens. VBU remaining and disorder markers primarily. Plus command initiative markers, green on one side, red on the other, to denote 'Still to play' or 'Played' respectively.
We find in Impetus 2 that we can remember when a unit has reacted so do not need to mark it. But that is not the case in Baroque when it can get complicated, so we definitely mark reacted units.
A 3D printer does sound like fun, a whole bunch of possibilities....
