Multi player Impitus
How well does Impetus work for more than two players and are there any rules or a guide covering activation's? for more than two players?

Re: Multi player Impitus
What size of game are you looking at? If it is a small game of 400 points then I would suggest following the regular Impetus initiative system. If you are thinking of larger games with 3 or more people per side this is what I came up with. I use this at convention games etc.. Let me know what you think.
Impetus Multi Player
Each side has a commander in chief (CinC). The CinC of each side, at the beginning of the turn, take an initiative test as per the rules. Each CinC is allowed one reroll. There are no rerolls for Excellent, Genius and Charismatic commanders. Passing of the initiative is not used. The side with the higher initiative test wins the initiative and activates its commands first and the side with the lower initiative test loses the test and will activate its commands second with the following exception; all sub commanders on the losing side may attempt an initiative test and if they are to able to roll a higher number than the winning sides initiative they may activate their commands first. The sequence is thus:
1. Losing sides sub commanders whose initiative test is higher than the winning sides initiative test activate their command(s).
2. All the commanders on the winning side activate their commands.
3. All the commanders on the losing who did not activate their commands in the step 1 may now activate their commands.
In every turn there will always be step 2 and step 3 but not always step 1.

Re: Multi player Impitus
Thanks!
I cant wait to try playing the game but the current Corvid19 situation has put gaming largely on hold. When we do start playing I hope to have games involving 4-6 players (2-3 per side)
I also downloaded from "somewhere" an army points calculator that was done with MS Excel but I cant find where I got it from now. Any idea?

You can get it here:

This one is for Impetus 2 + Army Lists V1. As soon as the V2 lists are out I will share a new builder (there are changes in points and in the VD).

Re: Multi player Impitus
Thanks Jorneto,
I'm a new person to IMPETUS and since Corvid19 kicked up we have not been able to play, I'm pretty excited to try it. I love the EXCEL program (yours?) and cant wait to play the game so I can then figure out better how to use it! lol! I have some similar EXCEL programs for other miniatures games and their great. It's a lot of work and my "hats off" to you for doing this hard work!
I tried to put a link to my site that you might enjoy but it seems that I'm not approved or too new.... copy and paste it it's my mini site
