Multi Melee question

What happens here?

2 units are locked in a combat draw (team A vs team B)

Team B charges a new unit into the melee kicking it off again (B's new unit fights as a support)

Team A's single unit inflicts 2 hits on team B's main unit killing it. However in the process it (team A's single unit) takes 3 hit but doesn't die.

Soooo.... has team A still lost the combat (because it took more hits than it dished) even though team B's main unit has been routed?

Would team A now have to retreat and team B's support have the chance to pursue or does team B's support unit retreat because it's main unit has been routed?

Any unit that routs has always lost the melee, regardless of hits inflicted.

Team A is victorious, shagged but victorious. Team B's supporting unit must retreat - Team A may pursue.
