DBA conversion
Greetings,
I ordered the Basic Impetus ruleset as DBA lacked some chrome for my tastes and I'm looking for something quick but with faction specific flavor. Given the reviews I read and the good feedback I had from a UK residing familymember, I decided to give the rules a shot.
I was wondering though. To maximize my limited collection can I directly port my DBA 3.0 figures?
It seems 4 DBX bases are a unit.
But could I play for instance with regular DBA bases?
Or just double bases?
My skirmishers and cav are also DBX based.
Is this a problem?

Re: DBA conversion
Yes, this should be possible.
In general approx. 4 Units of DBX is one Impetus base. The widths is in general the double of DBX.
The depths depend a little bit on the kind of unit you are referring to, here is the handy overview: http://www.dadiepiombo.it/basingimp.html
As a start you can play with your regular bases, if you have two armies, but the feeling will be a little different. the double width units makes a complete different wheel. I would rather go with double units if you want to catch how the game plays. If you want to start quickly, give it a try with dba widths.
Skirmishers are different in Impetus since the base has a low depth. But these are quick to add since you need only a couple of miniatures.

Re: DBA conversion
Thanks!
I think I may opt to try the system using my Ancient Battleground and Onus cards.
If I like the system a lot I may rebase or improvize.
That or i'll opt for 'double units'.
Many thanks for the feedback!!!
