Had any strange questions lately?

I know this may sound a bit impatient but I have had several really basic Impetus questions put to me lately. I stress that these enquiries come from people who own the rules and at least one of the Extra list books.

Things such as:

What is the range of a javelin/sling/bow (all asked)?

What is a U?

How far can a unit of [fill in the blank} move?

What's a command structure?

Why do I have to have a command structure?

Do people not read rules any more? There seems to be a school of thought that you only need to know a guy who might have seen a copy somewhere.

I suspect people don't actually read books anymore.

I bet most people nowdays just read the Quick Reference Sheets and play it by ear (I think I just made a pun ).

Does this have anything to do with people buying the rules just to put them on their bookshelf?

Something like JR's Light Cavalry crazies.

You know they exist but you're never sure where they are or how well they will shoot but the more certain you are about one the less certain you are about the other...

As your Avatar name suggests, dice and lead.   Impetus is a means to move that lead around a battlefield with the assistance of a bunch of dice to achieve a result.
