wagenburg - art or various weapons

i'm a little confused about wagenburg: the lists say they're various weapons, but the rules state that they "fire like Art B".

so this means they fire 360, not that they use the Art B line?

also, at 350pts i need to have maxima. the maxima i'm looking at is 0-3 pikes. this means i can only have 2 pike, right?

It has been clarified that you can take the Hussite wagons with VBU 5 as artillery B, so you either chose to fire with various weapons - so max range 15U but VBU 5 or you fire as Arty B with a longer range but VBU 1. In many cases when the target is large units the arty is the best choice. Either way both have a "normal" 90 degrees firing arc BUT you get to designate which side is "front".

If you use Large units and the maxima is 0-3 it stays at 3 IIRC, if not it is 1 - ie 3 halved is 1.5 and you dont round up

cheers. it's the polish renaissance beta, so currently only VBU 4. will be using various weapons i guess.

also - took a liberty and applied the reduced cost for rear pike bases.

i don't know whether i can increase the pike to VBU 5 tho.

All the usual stuff applies so if you can upgrade the front rank normally you can do so after half max & min
