Hi All - Would April 11th be ok?
Sorry to suggest a move only a day after posting. I have been told our club has an event on the 4th and I have been asked if we can put it back a week.
Seems ok with the venue.

Tournament is confirmed for April 11th.
Sorry for the false start on 4th. 4th is also Easter Saturday which was difficult for some

We will be trying out the new rules this week with a view to them being in the tournament. Watch this thread for confirmation

Hi all .. pretty sure Matt will also be able to join me (assuming we can still grab a lift with Tony and Peter so 4 coming down from Stratford area.

Fine with 300 or 350 but never played 4 games in a day like this .. wonder if this is feasible? Always nice to at least have a coffee in between games. Sure you need to allow at least 2 hours for a 300 point game?

Anyway looking forward to visiting Cardiff for the first time !

No specific rules as such. 300 points, 1+ commands, any book or approved Beta list. Just checking on the latest rule amendments to see if we need to include them. We playtested some and they don't seem to have a major impact. I will also start chasing lists soon

Have you got a date when the army lists must be in, Ross?

I'm looking forward to seeing Roar stalwarts again, plus some new faces. Is there any advance on the name list on the opening post? I'm sure there will be room for more.

No long to go now and my list is done. I will print off a copy and put it in a sealed envelope and will hand it over for safe keeping.
So time to start sending in those armies please.
300 points - any approved "official" list from the books and beta lists. Any number of commands.

Earlier the better. Preferably by the end of next week (April 3rd) to give some time to sort out any issues that might occur.

Please also ask around to see if anyone else wants to enter as we still have 3 slots.

Entry fee is now rounded up to £10 (from £ to include some sandwiches and snacks for lunch and between games. I will be making them with Mrs Figurepainting so let me know any special requests.

I went down today to check the venue and the new building is FANTASTIC!! Huge with loads of room, tables and expanded shop. It is a bit chilly though so bring a sweater!

To add a little flavour and keep things fresh this year we will be awarding bonus points for players making an extra effort-
T-shirt with army name/graphics = +20 points
Helmet or hat of the correct period = +30 points
Tunic or the period = +30 points
Full costume including footware = +50 points.

I really think it will add to the day and hope as many as possible get into the spirit of the event and make an effort.

Sorry fellers, I am going to have to miss the Dragon's Roar event, my child care arrangements fell through.
