Hello all, very new to Impetus and am currently reading the rules. I am playing the Wars of the Roses at the moment and Impetus looks to be what I am am looking for in a set of rules.
The question I have (very possibly a stupid one) is
During shooting and mellee the number of dice rolled is as per your VBU. Would this be the fresh starting VBU or the current VBU after some loses ????.

Yes the current VBU after some loses Phil.
One of the big stand outs in Impetus in my opinion.
As your VBU drops so does your ability to pass cohesion tests along with the effectiveness to do damage in melee/shooting with a reduction of dice numbers
