Evasion test

Just downloaded my copy of Basic Impetus 2. The modifiers on the evasion test look like you want to roll a high number to pass, but then the rules say a 1 always fails.
Are you looking to roll over the target number or under? I'm confused. Crying or Very sad

you modify the die roll, not the target number of the evasion test. in this case, for example. evading from a slower enemy 2+ , you roll an 1 ,with a general in the unit for +1 =2. In theory you would pass, but natural ones always fail.

OK, but are you trying to roll the target number or less, or the target number or higher?

Evading from a slower enemy is +2. Are you successful on a roll of 2? Or 3?

Sorry, I'm still confused. With a cohesion test you want the target number or lower. Not sure here.

You will be trying to roll an equal or greater number. In your example of 2+, that means from 2 to 6.

I believe it was a deliberate choice to avoid people using weighted dice in tournaments to have different numbers equal success. CT = a 1 is good, 6 is failure. Discipline tests & combats want higher rolls like 5 & 6.

it is a kind of discipline test, simplified for BI. Youhave to roll 2+ for CL evading from slower troops. If CL is disordered then it is 3 or more.
