Arc of Fire

Hi,
Can you please clarify and clear up this issue with arc of fire.
When on p32, (6.3.1) it describes the arc of fire as 45 degrees, does it mean the total arc is 45 degrees i.e. 22.5 degrees either side of straight ahead, or does it mean 45 degrees either side of straight ahead (the total arc being therefore of 90 degrees).
The diagram top right of the page suggests the latter but confirmation would be appreciated.

It is a total of 90°, like you can visualize in diagram on page 32
