S Contacted in Melee by Formed Unit

We had a situation below where two S units (orange and blue) were in melee against each other to which later a formed unit (blue FL) advanced into the melee as a support unit. Since the blue FL automatically disperses the orange enemy S the question is whether the orange S unit gets a finally dispersal roll against the blue S. We said yes. What do others think?

I think so - it would get a defence roll if blue S weren't involved wouldn't it?

So no real reason to refuse them that as the FL arrive - and blue S are the main unit, so …

Would orange S automatically be dispersed ?? Normally yes it would auto disperse if alone... but already being in a messy melee ? Perhaps a normal (supported this time of course) melee round ?

Ah ! answered in the example 2 - 7.8.1

'If a Unit of S is already in melee, for example with another S or an Elephant, and it is charged by a Unit that can disperse it, then before dispersion S can still throw its melee dice against the Main enemy Unit.'
