Impetuous warband
1/ under pursuit rules it says warband that fail to make contact 'can re roll'. This to me sounds optional is that right as would be giving impetuous troops an option?
2/ if warband who win melee force enemy to retreat 2H and then roll pursuit of 1H do they move 1H then roll dice again or only move the result of second dice roll.

1. "Can" seems optional to me.
2. I don't think so. They can either move 1H or reroll.

1/ Yes can seems optonal to me to, just wondered if that' was what was really meant as giving options to impetuous troops seems to contradict the definition of impetuous.
2/ if enemy retreat 2H and first roll is pursue 1H then second roll gives no pursuit if first roll is ignored they would be back in starting position. Wondered if they didn't quite make on 1st roll they get another chance to keep going into contact.
I fully agree how you interpret the wording i just wondered if that how it was meant or has it lost something in translation.

2 Failing a pursuit means that you roll not enough to contact the retreating Unit. So if the enemy retreats 2H and you 1H, then you failed.
In this case you can re-roll: ignore the first roll and use the second (even if worst, of course).
