in most cases S roll 1 or 2 dice (when they roll). If they cause losess it is beacuse the target has a low VBU.

Yes, I think the way S work in the current rules is fine. With S now having to roll to evade I think this makes them slightly less effective.

Yes it is very rare I've seen an S unit get more than one hit, and against decent units they're an irritant.
It has to be said that they can make other S units evaporate but they rarely do much in one move against anything with a reasonable VBU

They work well and do what they did historically, irritate and slow down the opposition and then run away
